Research Abstract |
Both the Korean Peninsula and the Taiwan Strait have been changed since the end of the Cold War and democratization of South Korea and Taiwan. Such changes are, however, not only different but also contrastable. Moreover, a "distortion" concerning policy preference toward each counterpart can be found between domestic rivalry of conservative vs. progressive in South Korea and that in Taiwan. This research investigates such contrast and distortion from both aspects of mutual relations between divided nations and domestic politics in South Korea and Taiwan.
