Research Abstract

知覚現象としての図地分離に注目して, 疑似ランダム刺激と計算統計的手法を利用した心理物理実験と計算論的モデルのシミュレーション実験により, 図地分離を導く刺激因子を客観的・定量的に明らかにした。さらに, 初・中期視覚野(V2, V4)の細胞が示す図方向選択性は周囲変調を起源とすることを示し, この周辺特性が図地分離を導く刺激特性と一致することを示した。
