| Research Abstract |
本研究はGelfand変換像及びHelgason-Wang変換像を特徴付けることにより、可換Banach環の分類を行い、その本質を探ることが主目的であった。実際これらの特徴付け問題から自然にBSE環とBED環という可換Banach環のクラスが生まれ、可換Banach環を4つのクラスに分類することが出来る。我々はこの可換Banach環の分類に関連して、半順序半単純可換Banach環がconvolution measure algebraとなるための条件を抽象的な調和解析の言葉で与えた。また、乗法的汎関数の超安定生に関する結果、Arhippainen-Mullerによるある種の評価に関する最適値問題の解決、ある種の対称性によるMazur-Ulamの定理の一般化などを得た。
