Research Abstract |
In this study, a molecular dynamics (MD) simulation was performed to investigate a structural change of small cavities in polymer crystals caused by an external stimulus, such as uniaxial loading, compression, torsional stress. A desirable control of cavity structures by artificial stimulus may lead to a development of a controllable functional separation membrane. A condition suitable for CO_2 separation was particularly examined.
