Research Abstract

研磨しやすい気相合成ダイヤモンド薄膜を成膜し, この膜を適度に研磨することにより得られる金属との間の低摩擦・低摩耗摺動について定量的に評価した。ダイヤモンド膜は研磨により、相手材金属と接触する平坦部と接触に寄与しない非周期的な溝構造が形成され、潤滑油がなくても相手材金属を摩耗しない摺動を実現することが明らかになった。また、研磨により得られた構造では摩擦係数がほとんど零になる摺動条件があることを計算機シミュレーションにより導き出した。
