| Research Abstract |
ジフテリア病原菌が宿主であるヒト血液のヘム濃度を感知するためのセンサーの候補遺伝子と考えられているのがchrSAである。本研究ではchrS遺伝子がコードする膜タンパク質ChrSを組み換え大腸菌細胞膜から界面活性剤で可溶化、精製し、脂質膜リポソームに再構成した。再構成したChrSタンパク質はヘム依存的に自己リン酸化されることが示され、このタンパク質がヘムを感知するセンサー機能を持つことを世界で初めて明らかにした。
