Research Abstract |
代表的な癌抑制遺伝子産物pRBの標的である転写因子E2Fの癌化抑制に関わる制御機構を解析した。E2Fは、pRBの機能が失われると、増殖刺激では活性化されないサイクリン依存性キナーゼ抑制因子p27Kip1など癌化抑制に関わる遺伝子の発現を誘導することを明らかにした。癌化抑制に関わる制御機構は、結合パートナーであるDPに対する依存性が極めて低く、細胞増殖制御に関わる機構とは異なることを明らかにした。
