Research Abstract

本研究は,カイコガの休眠卵と非休眠卵とで活性変動の異なるタンパク質リン酸化酵素の一種を見いだし,それがカゼインキナーゼ2(CK2)であることを同定し,CK2のαとβ両サブユニットをコードする完全長cDNAの構造を明らかにした。
また,初期発生におけるCK2の活性変動の調節は転写レベルではなく,転写後の調節が重要であることも発見し,CK2の翻訳後修飾における活性調節機構の一部を明らかにした。
