| Research Abstract |
イネクラスI キチナーゼCht2からループIIを削除した欠失変異キチナーゼを構築し、野生型Cht2とその性質を比較した結果、ループIIが+3サブサイトを形成していることが明らかとなった。また、ループIIは顕著な生理活性を持つ4糖以上の長鎖キチンオリゴ糖の生成に重要な役割を果たしていることがわかり、植物クラスIキチナーゼがキチンエリシター産生において中心的役割を果たしていることが強く示唆された。また、放線菌ファミリー19キチナーゼChiCのキチン吸着には、吸着に重要であることがわかっているTrp59とTrp60に加えて、その周辺に存在するThr43, Glu64, Gln62, Asp70が関与していることが明らかとなった。
