| Research Abstract |
糸状菌Aspergillus nidulansの正常な形態形成と分化にはタンパク質ヘマンノースを転移する酵素Pmtが必須である。本研究では、糸状菌の3種のPmtが互いに異なる基質特異性を有し、分泌タンパク質を糖鎖修飾することで、細胞の正常性を保つ事を明らかにした。A. nidulansの菌体外や細胞壁においては野生株とPmt欠損株間ではタンパク質の存在プロファイルが異なっていた。これらにはPmtの基質タンパク質だけではなく、細胞状態の変化に伴う局在の変化、あるいは遺伝子発現の変化に起因するタンパク質も含まれいた。従ってPmt欠損によるタンパク質の構成や機能の変化によりPmt欠損株が異常形態を示すものと推考した。
