| Research Abstract |
魚類の生殖におけるプロラクチン(PRL)の機能解明を目的としてニホンウナギの性分化および成熟における生殖腺でのPRL受容体の発現とPRL投与による生殖腺への影響を調べた. その結果、PRL受容体は稚魚生殖腺の生殖原細胞から成熟開始前までの未熟な卵母細胞および精原細胞において長期に渡り発現していることが明らかとなった. さらに、雄においてPRL投与は生殖腺刺激ホルモンにより誘起された精子形成を抑制することから、PRLは精子形成の制御因子である可能性が示された.
