| Research Abstract |
ミエロペルオキシダーゼ欠損マウス(MPO-KOマウス)の肺に酵母菌体成分を経鼻投与すると、MPO-KOマウスは野生型マウスよりも重篤な好中球性の肺炎を起こした。MPO-KOマウスは、菌体成分投与直後からある種のケモカイン産生量が異常に高値を示した。そのケモカインに対する抗体を投与したところ、炎症が軽減したことから、MPOの欠損によって異常産生されるこのケモカインが、MPO-KOマウスの肺炎重篤化の一因になっていることが証明された。また、MPO-KOマウス好中球の異常を知るために、単離好中球の貪食能、走化性、接着性を野性型マウスと比較し、両者の違いも検討した。
