| Research Abstract |
腎遠位尿細管出来培養細胞であるA6細抱では、細胞内クロライド濃度を増大させると細胞が生存するシグナルが活性化して細胞は増殖へと導かれ、逆に減少させると細胞死(アポトーシス)のシグナルが活性化して、細胞はプログラムされた死へと導かれる可能性が示唆された。このように、細抱の生死は、細胞内クロライドイオン濃度により制御され、最終的には細胞内クロライドイオン濃度を積極的に制御するクロライドイオン輸送体(NKCC)の発現・活性制御が重要であることが示された。このようなイオン輸送体による細胞の生死の制御という考え方は、これまでにない新しいアプローチである。
