Research Abstract

がんは遺伝子の病気であり、染色体レベルでの欠失や転座が生じやすい部分には、『がん抑制遺伝子』と呼ばれる細胞のがん化を抑制している遺伝子が存在するのではという仮説がある。本研究は、染色体脆弱部位に存在するFragile histidine triad (FHIT)遺伝子、WW domain-containing oxidereductase (WWOX)遺伝子産物に注目し、その機能解析とヒト悪性腫瘍発生メカニズムについて各種検討を行った。
