Research Abstract

抗酸菌に特異的なヒストン様蛋白質であるMycobacterial DNA-binding protein 1 (MDP1)の薬剤感受性にかかわる作用を調べた。その結果、MDP1は抗酸菌の薬剤感受性に関わることが判明した。この作用はMDP1分子による直接的な薬剤の競合阻害ではなく、リボゾームに結合することによって生じる構造変化や、複数の薬剤代謝経路を遺伝子発現を介して制御する作用によるものであると推察された。
