| Research Abstract |
大腿筋肉量を測定すれば断面積のみであっても筋肉量の推定が可能になり、高齢者のバランスがわかる。このことから転倒のしやすさにつながる指標であることが明らかになった。つまり比較的簡便にかつ非侵襲的なCT検査を行うことで大腿筋肉量の変化が高齢者のQOLを評価しうる指標である。大腿筋肉量を維持・増加させることが骨折の予防に繋がること、高齢者の寝たきり予防につなげていくことができる。
