Research Abstract

ヒト消化管における抗菌ペプチドに依存する自然免疫機能の感染防御機構を解明し, 炎症性腸疾患の消化管粘膜上皮における自然免疫の関与を検討してきた. ディフェンシンの分子異常と機能異常を検討することによって, 炎症性腸疾患の病因・病態における自然免疫機構異常の関与を解明した. さらに, 内因性抗菌ペプチドをターゲットとする新たな炎症制御の可能性を検討し, 炎症性腸疾患に対する特異的な新規治療法の開発をめざす.
