| Research Abstract |
食道・胃接合部で発生する癌は、欧米を中心に急速に増加しており、食生活の欧米化などに伴い、今後、本邦でもその増加が危惧されている。私は、これまでヒトの食道・胃接合部で限局性に発生する一酸化窒素(NO)が同部の炎症・発がんと関連しているという仮説をたて研究を進めてきた。今回のラットの動物モデルを用いた研究で、NOが食道・胃接合部の粘膜表面に傷害を及ぼすことを明らかにされ、今後、発がんとの関連に関しての検討が期待される。
