Research Abstract

糖尿病性腎症の発症機序におけるBasigin-VEGF/NOシグナルの関与について検討した結果、初期段階からVEGF/NO uncouplingにより、血管新生が引き起こされる。また、Basiginは、VEGFのinducerとしては作用せず、Basigin上の糖鎖がE-selectinの新たなリガンドとして働き、糸球体内へのmicroinflammationを誘導し、糖尿病性腎症の発症・進展に関与する。
