Research Abstract

シェーグレン症候群(SS)の発症機序の解明、それに基づく抗原特異的治療の開発を目的として、ムスカリン作働性アセチルコリン受容体3(M3R)に対する免疫応答を明らかにすることを目的とした。その結果、SS患者末梢血中には多彩なB細胞エピトープに対する抗M3R抗体が存在し、唾液分泌に対する機能はM3R上のB細胞エピトープにより異なる事が明らかになった。さらに、M3Rペプチドを免疫することによりSSに類似した唾液腺炎を発症するモデルマウスの作成に成功した。
