Research Abstract

関節リウマチでは、罹患関節に存在するムチンが糖鎖異常におちいり、関節リウマチの病因に関与することが予測される。本研究では、可溶性スカベンジャーリセプターが、ムチン結合能を有し実験的関節炎を抑制することから、これらムチン阻害剤が関節リウマチの有力な治療法になることが示された。また、IL-6誘導能のあるムチンがMUC-1であることが判明し、MUC-1が関節リウマチの特異的な治療ターゲットして有力であることが明らかになった。
