| Research Abstract |
肺癌では手術で完全に病巣を取り除いても、顕微鏡で見つけることの出来ないような微小な癌病巣が体に残ることが多く、手術後の再発そして死亡につながる。今回の研究では、癌を切除したあとの胸の中(胸腔やリンパ節など)に小さな病巣が残っているかどうかを、遺伝子解析の手法を用いて検討した。その結果、遺伝子解析を用いても現在の顕微鏡レベルでの検査以上の高感度な癌病巣の検出は困難であることが判明した。
