Research Abstract |
Malignant glioma cells harbor tumor-specific genetic alterations which often activate intracellular signaling pathways, thereby conferring tumor initiation, malignant transformation, and resistance to conventional therapies. Thus, inhibition of such pathways could endow therapeutic benefits. Here we targeted the pathways of PDGFR and/or EGFR in combination with antitumor drugs, resulting in inactivation of their downstream signalings and suppression of tumor growth in human glioma cell lines.
