Research Abstract

透析患者では一般人よりも腎細胞癌の発生率が10~40倍高い。透析腎は多数の大小不同の嚢胞を合併し、acquired cystic kidney disease(ACKD)と呼ばれている。嚢胞をCarbonic anhydrase IX(CA9)と尿細管の部位特異的に発現するAquaporin(AQP)1と2の免疫染色を行った。透析腎から発生する腎細胞癌には嚢胞の多層化より発がんに移行する場合とCA9陽性細胞から発生する場合との2つの発がん過程が存在することが示唆された。
