Research Abstract |
Autologous fat injection laryngoplasty was significantly found to be a more effective and reliable therapy for improving voice function in patients with vocal fold paralysis, compared with framework surgery. Injected fat volume shown a tendency to reduce in patient with Body Mass Index was high. Autologous fat injection laryngoplasty was effective in patient whose width between vocal process was large before surgery. Injection into the vocal fold of autologous fat containing an adenoviral vector expressing hepatocyte growth factor can reduce subsequent resorption of injected fat.
