Research Abstract

多様な神経細胞を生み出す神経幹細胞には神経管での「場所(空間)」と「発生時期(時間)」によって規定される固有の形質があるが、その分子実体は未解明の部分が多い。本研究では、小脳をモデル系として、神経幹細胞の固有の形質、すなわち「神経幹細胞アイデンティティ」が発生途上の個体内でいかにして「時間的・空間的」に制御されているのかを、現象論からその分子機構まで明らかにし、神経細胞の多様性獲得の分子機構を個体レベルで理解する。
