Research Abstract

(1)自然免疫系の個体レベルでの獲得免疫系との連携も含めた免疫応答における重要性を解析するため、自然免疫系の活性化に障害をもつマウスを用いて、原虫などの細胞内寄生性微生物の感染モデルを導入し、自然免疫系の不全による免疫応答の異常を個体レベルで解析し、自然免疫系の作動から獲得免疫系の作動に至る分子機構を明らかにする。
(2)自然免疫系の活性を制御する分子機構を明らかにする。そして、自然免疫系の活性の人為的制御技術の開発を通じた免疫疾患、特に炎症性腸疾患の新規治療法開発の基礎的基盤を提供する。
