Research Abstract |
Owing to the unique properties of ionic liquids such as their extremely low vapor pressure, we successfully generated a gas-liquid interfacial plasma under a low gas pressure condition, in which the plasma parameters were clarified. Furthermore, new-functional composite materials, such as DNA or ionic-liquid encapsulated carbon nanotubes, were formed using the gas-liquid interfacial plasma, and novel nano-bio optical devices consisting of the composite materials were successfully created.
