| Research Abstract |
南極ドームふじ氷床コアの溶存イオン濃度を数mm 分解能の深さ分解能で分析し、おもな溶存イオン濃度の短周期変動が季節変動に起因していることを示唆した。
完新世のナトリウムイオン濃度の短周期変動が南極海の海氷面積の季節変動と対応していることを提唱し、南極のヒプシサーマルの時期はそれ以後のやや寒冷な時期に比べて、海氷の季節変動幅が小さく、冬季に現在ほど北上していない可能性を示唆した。
