| Research Abstract |
(1) 本研究は、近現代インドにおいて歴史記述のあり方がどのように変遷したのかを明らかにすることを目的としている。具体的には、インド西部のグジャラート地方の知識人たちが残した代表的な歴史記述を取り上げ、それらを同時代の政治・経済・社会状況と関連づけながら分析する。
(2) 本研究では、対象地域であるインド・グジャラート地方での資料収集・聞き取り調査のほか、関連する資料を所有しているデリー、ムンバイ、ロンドンなどの図書館・文書館での資料収集も行う。また、研究成果を随時、論文や研究報告のかたちで発表する。
