| Research Abstract |
戦時期から復興期にかけての大都市圏の変化を通勤流動や人口分布、都市計画の観点から検討し、1930 年から55 年の間に各大都市圏の通勤圏が大きく拡大したこと、人口分布が大きく変化したことなどを明らかにした。また、関係する時期の地形図を収集し、過去の市区町村のベクトル地図データを整備し、地形図を時系列的に閲覧するソフト「時系列地形図閲覧ソフト『今昔マップ2』」を、インターネットを通じて一般に公開した。
