Research Abstract	本研究は、議院内閣制における政治指導者のリーダーシップがどのように作り出され、コントロールされるのかという課題に対して政府内調整メカニズムという観点から取り組むことを目的としていた。本研究は、議院内閣制を採用するオーストラリア、ニュージーランド、カナダとの比較のうえに、戦後の日英両国における政府内調整メカニズムの発展を解明し、さらに政府内調整メカニズムを通して首相の行使する権力の特徴を浮かび上がらせることも試みるものであった。
