Research Abstract |
The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the economic effects that an FTA (Free Trade Agreement) will bring in this region using an East Asia linked CGE (Computable General Equilibrium) model that is author developed. The East Asia linked CGE model used in this paper has the following features. 1) It is based on an international SAM (Social Accounting Matrix) composed of the 2000 Asian International Input-Output Table of IDE and the tariff rates by country and commodity of the GTAP (Global Trade Analysis Project) version 6 data base. 2) It has been Programmed using the MPSGE (Mathematical Programming System for General Equilibrium analysis).
