Research Abstract |
To resolve an intergroup conflict such as war or ethnic antagonism, it is important to restrain retaliation, trust other, and build cooperative relationship. However, commitment to their group or patriotism can makes it difficult to trust in and cooperate with outgroup. In this project, it was revealed that the psychological process how an ingroup identification enhanced retaliation against outgroup. Moreover, it was also examined what aspect of group identification made intergroup trust and cooperation difficult.
