| Research Abstract |
一分子内にビニル基とアルデヒド基を有する4-(ビニルベンジルオキシ)ベンズアルデヒドの二価のヨウ化サマリウム(SmI2)を用いた還元的カップリングにより、ビニル基を一分子内に二つ有するジオール化合物を合成することに成功した.この化合物は、二つのビニル基を有しているので、この点を利用して、ジチオールとのラジカル付加重合による主鎖中にキラルなジオール部位を有する高分子の合成や架橋剤としての応用、OH 基の修飾による機能性モノマーへの展開等が期待される.
