Research Abstract |
The self-joint technique using a material having negative thermal expansion coefficient and electromagnetic force is proposed as a mechanical joint method for a remountable high-temperature superconducting magnet developed for realization of a commercial fusion reactor achieving high economic efficiency and high maintenance performance. Through this study, the following results were obtained. DFRP having negative thermal expansion coefficient can be useful for a mechanical joint method. And low joint resistance can be achieved at high current value needed for a mechanical joint with electromagnetic force.
