Research Abstract

昆虫の近縁種間に生殖隔離をもたらすことが知られている交尾器形態の多様性について,オオオサムシ類を材料として,形態の違いをもたらしているゲノム領域の探索と,その背景にある進化機構の解明を目指して研究を行った.その結果,交尾器形態に種間差は比較的少数の遺伝子座によって支配されている;交尾器形態の差異は種間の遺伝子流動を制限する要因となる;交尾器形態の急速な多様化は性淘汰によることが明らかとなった。
