Research Abstract

核膜孔複合体は、核膜上の巨大な超分子複合体である。この核膜孔複合体が、どのように形成されるのかは未だなぞのままである。このため、代表者らは代表的な蛋白質に蛍光タグを付け、HeLa細胞の安定発現株を作製した。これらの細胞では核膜孔がラベルされ、そのダイナミクスをライブ観察することが可能となった。さらに、レーザーをもちいて新たに形成された核膜孔を可視化できるようになった。この手法と細胞周期阻害剤を組み合わせ、間期の核膜孔形成が、細胞周期によって厳密にコントロールされていることが示された。
