Research Abstract

Elsinoe 属菌体をPotato Extract培地またはCZAPEK'S SOLUTION培地で培養するとエルシノ多糖が大量に生産された。その収量は、炭素源をスクロースとしたときが最も多く、液体培地1リットルあたり6.0gのエルシナンが得られた。培地条件を適宜変更することにより、得られるエルシノ多糖のモル質量は10^3〜10^7g/molまで任意に設定可変であった。さらにモル質量の分布もある程度制御可能なことがわかった。生産されたエルシナンの物理化学特性を検討するため、専用の計測機器の製作を行った。
