| Research Abstract |
哺乳動物は妊娠すると、ミルクを作るために乳腺細胞の増殖、分化そして退行を繰り返す。その遺伝子発現は精密に制御されているが、逸脱が生じるとミルク合成量の低下や乳癌の発生などにつながる。本研究により、近年注目を集めているマイクロRNA の一つが、細胞増殖を刺激する遺伝子発現を抑制させ、間接的にマウス乳腺細胞の増殖を制御する事が明らかとなった。今後、より詳細な研究を行うことで、乳腺機構の理解を深めることが可能となろう。
