| Research Abstract |
日本脳炎ウイルスのコア蛋白質はウイルス粒子を形成する以外にも、ウイルスRNAの複製促進にも機能している。コア蛋白質はカテプシンL によって切断を受け、特定の細胞内での増殖性に関与していることが明らかとなった。また、同じフラビウイルス科ウイルスであるC 型肝炎ウイルスのコア蛋白質のシグナルペプチドペプチダーゼによる切断は、コア蛋白質の界面活性剤耐性膜局在およびウイルス粒子形成に必須であった。
