Research Abstract |
The origin of the selectivity of alkylamido ate bases in directed ortho metalation has been investigated by means of spectroscopic and theoretical methods. Furthermore, efficient methods for the construction of functionalized aromatic compounds have been developed using ate complexes as chemoselective bases.
