Research Abstract |
We revealed that the expression and a part of physiological function of Hex in cartilage. Hex mRNA is increased differentiation-dependently in chondrocytes. Hex protein in chondrocyte involved in the nucleocytoplasmic transport. Exogenous Hex induced the cell death in the chondroprogenitor cells. We will elucidate the question whether these cell death is induced during chondrogenesis under physiological conditions.
