Research Abstract

POMT1、POMT2とPOMGnT1はα-ジストログリカンの主要糖鎖であるO-マンノース型糖鎖の生合成を担う糖転移酵素であり、先天性筋ジストロフィーの原因遺伝子である。本研究では、POMT1、POMT2とPOMGnT1の触媒活性制御機構や基質特異性の解析を行った。その結果、特定のアミノ酸配列がO-マンノース型糖鎖修飾を受けることやPOMT1とPOMT2のN型糖鎖はPOMT活性に必要であることが明らかとなった。
