| Research Abstract |
継続して検討してきた好酸球の核内受容体の機能解析、アレルギー性炎症の病態解析と評価に関する研究をすすめ、国内外に発表した。特に本研究課題の中心であるビタミンA の活性型誘導体であるレチノイン酸に関しては、国内外で学会発表を行うとともにJ Immunol 誌に成果を発表した。この概要は、9-cis retinoic acid(9-cisRA)とall-trans retinoic acid(ATRA)が、著明なヒト好酸球生存延長作用と炎症性サイトカイン産生を誘導することをはじめて明らかにたものである。これらの結果はビタミンA 誘導体が生体内において好酸球の生存延長や機能発現に関与し、好酸球の恒常性維持やアレルギー性炎症の形成に寄与している可能性を示したものである。現在はマウス喘息モデルでの検討を進め、予備実験を終了しているほか、好酸球や他の炎症細胞での機能的な役割について検討を進めている。
