| Research Abstract |
中皮腫は極めて難治性の疾患であり、その理由の一つに画像では早期診断が難しい点があげられる。今回、我々は、中皮腫細胞が分泌する血液中のタンパク質(N-ERC/mesothelin)に注目し、これが、中皮腫の腫瘍マーカーとしてどれだけ有用か(早期診断や効果判定が十分できるか)を検討した。その結果、N-ERC/mesothelinは、これまでの中皮腫の腫瘍マーカーの中で最も優れていることが示された。また、同時に実際の臨床で使用する際の注意点も明らかになった。
