Research Abstract	エストロジェンはエストロジェン感受性組織において、細胞増殖を促進することによって、これらの組織の正常な成長、発達を調節している。一方で、我々は、下垂体前葉のプロラクチン産生細胞の増殖に対するエストロジェンの作用について検討した結果、insulin-like growth factor-1等の成長因子の存在下では、エストロジェンが細胞増殖を逆に抑制するという興味深い現象を見出した。本研究課題では、このエストロジェンの増殖抑制作用に関与している可能性のある遺伝子を見出した。
