Research Abstract

糖尿病の三大合併症の一つである糖尿病網膜症は失明原因の第一位である。我々はこの糖尿病網膜症に対する新しい予防法および治療法を開発することを本研究の最終目的としている。
我々はレチノイン酸を用いることで、糖尿病網膜症に関わるサイトカインを制御し、眼内微小環境を血管透過性抑制系の優位へと導くことで、結果的に糖尿病網膜症における網膜血管病変を制御することに成功した。
糖尿病網膜症に対し、新しい予防法および治療法を開発する基盤を確立できたと思われる。
