| Research Abstract |
Sox6は胎生期の中枢神経の発生・分化に関与する転写因子である。我々はマウス神経幹細胞で、Sox6が神経への分化を促進したり、生存を維持するのかどうか検討した。その結果、Sox6は神経幹細胞の生存維持に強く関わっていた。またSox6によって神経細胞への分化は促進されたが、グリア細胞への分化を抑制することができた。更にSox6が神経細胞へ分化する時に重要なWnt-1を標的とすることも明らかとした。
