| Research Abstract |
SELDI-TOF MSを用い、異型TTRを迅速に検出できることを明らかにした。アミノ酸変異に由来する理論的な質量差とSELDI-TOF MS実測値の差は良好に相関した。本システムはFAPの診断に有効と考えられる。しかし、一部のTTR変異型のFAP で異型TTRが検出困難であることも判明した。その理由として、(1) 野生型TTRと質量差がわずか(15Da未満)である場合と、(2) 異型TTRの産生が低下している場合があった。これらの変異型TTRを持つFAPは稀であるが注意が必要である。
